(featuring The Way to Anywhere)

The road to anywhere,
on desert open ground,
is leading on up to a,
mountain range,
I’m driving with my car,
towards a twinkling star,
I hope that things improve,
my life will change,
finally I’ve to zigzag,
so close, it gets a serpentine road,
and when I will have reached the top,
I hope that I can see the gold.
Nobody knows what I perceive,
acceptance is so hard to obtain (achieve),
but perhaps this road is leading me,
to a place that will be to my gain,
Won’t you cross the mountains,
approaching from the other side,
just want to be with you,
I hope someday you will arrive.
Girl, can’t you feel it, too,
I’m dreaming of that you would be my wife,
sharing precious moments,
and be the lion’s share of my life.
So now I’m here on that mountain top,
and what have I found,
only that on the other side,
there is the same hot desert ground….
It took so long to travel,
along that sinuous road of grieve (gravel),
on top of the mountains,
I realise things won’t change,
I just can’t read your mind (eyes),
perhaps you think I’m cold as ice,
but if you came into my world,
you’d see it’s full of summer skies.
Can’t you cross the mountains,
approaching from the other side,
just want to be with you,
hope someday you will arrive.
Aha, behind the next mountain range,
I finally will touch the sky,
Aha, behind the next mountain range,
I finally lift off and fly,
aha, when the morning comes,
I’ll start my journey anew,
aha, when the morning comes,
next time I swear I’ll come through.
